Mexico Chiapas Sierra Madre

$21.00

malt // tangerine // peach

Central American coffees are generally expected to offer nutty, chocolatey notes.

This offering is an interesting riff.

It has a satisfyingly full body with a malty note. Malt is a yeasty flavor that pairs well with chocolate. You’ve probably seen malt powder offered as an optional add in for diner milk shakes.

As the coffee cools you’ll notice the tangerine and peach notes. Fancy people sometimes call this “stone fruit acidity”.

It’s the one-two punch found in a ripe peach–sweet with a slight pucker at the end. It’s a fun alternative to the berry and citrus notes that are also common finishing notes.

We’ve been fans of Mexican coffee for some time. Our first decaf offering was from this same region, Chiapas.

Now we’re excited to offer it to you in our single origin lineup.

Enjoy!
